Sean Yelland

Sean Yelland is a Canadian artist based in Toronto.  Sean’s work is featured at Ingram Gallery in Toronto and Madrona Gallery in Victoria B.C.

Sean paints striking images of familiar urban settings from photographs he has taken mainly in his hometown of Toronto, and some other places. Little detailed gems found in his work, along with saturated colours, shadows, light, and reflections are an important part of his paintings — which make his work unique. His paintings are stunningly beautiful and have a hyper-realistic sensibility.

Sean attended the Ontario College of Art & Design in the mid to late 1980’s, graduating in 1989. Sean’s art can be found in several private and corporate collections.

Sean Yelland’s latest exhibit “The Long Way Home” was successfully held at the Madrona Gallery in February/March 2024.
